Abstract:Introduction
Diagnosis of urinary tract infection (UTI) in the elderly population is challenging as they commonly present with atypical signs and symptoms. Prevalence of asymptomatic bacteriuria in the elderly population is high. Hence, urine dipstick and urine culture are no longer diagnostic tests.
