Abstract: Reducing inflammation is a promising therapeutic approach for sepsis-induced cardiomyopathy (SIC). The 5-Methoxytryptophan (5-MTP) is a tryptophan metabolite that demonstrates anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrosis, anti-tumorigenesis, and anti-senescence features.
