Abstract: INTRODUCTION:Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB) is associated with systemic inflammation, reduction of intestinal perfusion, microcirculatory alterations, and loss of intestinal barrier integrity, which may lead to feeding intolerance and necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC).
