Hydrolysis of (RO) 3 Si(CH 2 ) n X or its cohydrolysis with another trialkoxysilane (RO) 3 SiR' (R = Me, Et) or tetraethoxysilane (EtO) 4 Si gives rise to organosilicates with controlled properties, which can be used as specific adsorbents and heterogeneous catalysts [2].
