Abstract:By using a low viscosity material and new diamond-shaped electrode configuration, we report a fringe field switching liquid crystal display with high transmittance, fast response time, low operation voltage, wide viewing angle and indistinguishable gamma shift. Promising applications for high-resolution and image-blur-free displays, such as augmented reality and virtual reality, are foreseeable.
