He was awarded the Humboldt Research Prize in 2015. He is vice-president ofthe Committee of Literary and Cultural Studies of the Hungarian and the Austrian Academy of Sciences, leading member of the Grimmelshausen Society and member of the Scientific Committee of the Görres Society. His main research fields include the history and theory ofliterary studies, textology, neo-Iatin studi es, cultural history of the 17 th and 18 th centuries, the interrelationship between art and literature, narratology, German-Hungarian literary contacts.
