Abstract: The aim of this study was to determine whether elevated brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) levels after heart transplantation are correlated with the severity of rejection by using endomyocardial biopsy (EMB) and echocardiographic parameters indicative of ventricular function of the transplanted heart.
