7. Influence of Shading Systems on Energy Performance of Buildings With Large Glazing Areas

Abstract: The paper aims at evaluating the energy performance of an average office building characterized by high glazing ratio and various shading degrees. Two hypotheses have been considered and compared: i) the building without shading and ii) the building having a fixed shading system with vertical and horizontal elements.
