Abstract: INTRODUCTION:Asthma is a leading cause of pediatric hospitalization. Endotracheal intubation and invasive mechanical ventilation (IMV) in status asthmaticus (SA) are associated with increased complications and mortality. Recent practice trends favor non-invasive ventilation (NIV) to support respiratory failure in SA.
