Abstract: This study examines the early organization of glial cells, together with the expression of chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans in the developing thalamus of ferrets. Glia were identified with antibodies against vimentin and glial fibrillary acidic protein and the chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans were identified by using an antibody against chondroitin sulfate side chains.
