Abstract: Three distinct glucose response curves, biphasic, monophasic and incessant increase, have been demonstrated in adults and adolescents during OGTT. Individuals with incessant increase and monophasic curves have increased risk of type 2 diabetes and decreased insulin sensitivity and secretion and thus are likely at increased risk for other cardiometabolic diseases.
