Abstract:Objective-To determine the frequency with which osteoporosis prophylaxis is given to corticosteroid treated hospital inpatients. Methods-All patients receiving systemic corticosteroids in a large teaching hospital over a three month period were identified through routine prescription monitoring by hospital ward pharmacists.
