Abstract: Dual defibrillator implantation represents an emerging option to treat patients with drug refractory atrial fibrillation. Atrial antitachycardia pacing and cardioversion have been demonstrated to be highly effective in treating spontaneous tachyarrhythmias and may reduce atrial fibrillation burden by preventing atrial remodeling.
