Abstract:Environmental racism is a phenomenon defined by an unfair allocation of environmental risks. It is a systematic violation of the right to a safe and healthy environment. Environmental racism takes root in the colonial prioritisation of race in the distribution of social and environmental benefits. The environment should not be treated like an infinite garbage can.
