Abstract: Glinus oppositifolius (Linn) is a branched herb containing linear to obovate, opposite leaves with greenish flowers, and it belongs to the molluginaceae family. This bitter leafy vegetable is known as gima shak in West Bengal, Assam & Bangladesh.
