Abstract: A cross sectional study was conducted in Out Patient Department of Primary Care Hospital in Warangal. 502 prescriptions were randomly collected over a period of one month and recorded over a 'prescribing indicator form'. The data was analyzed using WHO indicators. Average number of drugs per encounter was 3.45. Encounter with an antibiotic prescribed was 46.21%, with a FDC was 84.66%, with an injection prescribed was 7.76%.
