Abstract: Achanthiptera rohrelliformis (Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830) and Hydrotaea aenescens (Wiedemann, 1830), two species of the subfamily Azeliinae (Muscidae), are recorded for the first time from Bulgaria, although they have been already collected around 1908 and 1973, respectively.
