Abstract

A Cochrane review failed to show any significant differences with regards to mortality, morbidity, markers of liver parenchymal injury, or ICU/hospital length of stay when comparing the crushclamp to alternative methods [13]. The review did show crushclamp to be faster and more cost effective [10,13].Unfortunately, the above-mentioned technique has a limited role in Robotic surgery and has been superseded by more superior energy devices.
