Abstract:Background: Anti-inflammatory therapy is a mainstay of treatment for patients with ocular inflammatory disorders. Although glucocorticosteroids (GCS) demonstrate a potent antiinflammatory and anti-allergic effect, treatment with GCS is associated with a risk of serious side effects.
