Abstract:Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) are a family of autoantibodies that react with proteins expressed mainly in cytoplasmic granules of polymorphonuclear neutrophil granulocytes (PMNs). The ANCA test is used to diagnose small vessel vasculitis and to monitor inflammatory activity.
