Abstract

Penelitianaini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketertarikanapeneliti melihatamahasiswa Papua yang berada di Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) yang unik dan berbeda dengan mahasiswa mayoritas di UNP. Tujuanapenelitianainiaadalahauntukamengetahuiaprosesaadaptasi mahasiswaaasalaPapua di UNP dengan program pendidikan adik. Kemudian hasilatemuan peneliti tersebut dianalisis denganamenggunakanateoriastrukturalafungsionalaolehaTalcot Parsons denganakonsep AGIL. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tipe penelitian studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa ada 3 prosesaadaptasiayangadilakukanaoleh mahasiswaaPapua (1) adaptasiadalam bergaul dengan sesama mahasiswa, (2) adaptasi dalam proses belajar di dalam kelas bersama dosen maupun mahasiswa, dan (3) adaptasi dalam berinteraksi dengan masyarakat sekitar kampus. Theapurposeaof thisastudyawas toadetermineathe processaof adaptation of students from Papua at UNP with the ADIK education program. The findings were analyzed using functional structural theory by Talcot Parsons with the AGIL concept. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study research. The results of this study reveal that there are 3 adaptation processes carried out by Papuan students (1) adaptation in interacting with fellow students, (2) adaptation in the learning process in the classroom with lecturers and students, and (3) adaptation in interacting with the community around campus .
