Abstract: Vitamin B17 (Amygdalin) is D-mandelonitrile-bi-glucoside naturally found in fruit seeds. Amygdalin was extracted and purified from the kernels of apricots cultivated in Egypt. Identification of the extract was performed by High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), where a major amygdalin peak was obtained at retention time 3.5.
