Abstract:To assess the effect of Perillyl alcohol (POH) on the lipid profile of high-fat-diet-induced hyperlipidemia in white male albino Wistar rats, the hyperlipidemia was induced by feeding cholesterol-rich high-fat diet for 45 days in male albino Wistar rats. The decline in the triglycerides, LDL and VLDL was significant at 100 & 200 mg/kg dose of POH compared to Atorvastatin group.
