Abstract:Biophotovoltaics (BPV) is an emerging technology developed to utilize reducing equivalents produced by photosynthetic organisms. It generates electrical power by exploiting a phenomenon called extracellular electron transfer (EET), where reducing equivalents are transferred extracellularly to exogenous electron acceptors.
