To the Editor I am writing to provide additional information regarding my conflict of interest disclosures in 2 articles that were published in JAMA Cardiology in 2017 1 and 2018, 2 in which I declared nothing to disclose. In my previous reporting, I included disclosures of potential conflicts of interest that seemed "reasonably related" to the topic of the article, as suggested in guidance by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Consequently, I included my status as an independent board member of Johnson & Johnson in articles that focused on drug or device payment or regulation, and I included my activities related to accountable care organizations and other specific provider payment reforms in articles that focused on those topics. These activities are publicly known. To promote transparency, I also provide information on my activities on my web page. 3 For completeness and to avoid confusion, I request a reporting adjustment to make reporting of conflict of interest disclosures consistent in my prior articles and with when the activities began. For these articles, 1,2 my disclosure statement should have read as follows: "Dr McClellan reports earning fees as an independent board member for Johnson & Johnson and Alignment Health Care and co-chairing the Accountable Care Learning Collaborative and the Guiding Committee for the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network." I regret any confusion this has caused and have requested that these articles be corrected online. 4
