A Bibliometric Study of Social Innovation and Sustainable Territorial Development

Abstract

This article examines the evolution of research on social innovation and sustainable territorial development in the context of a multiplication of studies in this field. Despite this increase in research publications, a gap remains in the understanding of key trends and research orientations, as well as their alignment with immediate environmental needs. To address this gap, a bibliometric analysis was carried out to examine scientific publications, highlighting a steady growth in research with a diversification of topics covered. The results highlight a steady growth in research, with a diversification of topics covered, such as rural development initiatives, innovative practices for a socially responsible economy and sustainable development objectives. The implications of this research underline the importance of continuing research in this field, focusing on specific areas such as the comparison of rural development policies and support programs for social innovation, and the integration of sustainable development objectives into organizational practices.
