A Blockchain-Based Node Selection Algorithm in Cognitive Wireless Networks

Abstract: In cognitive wireless networks, multi-node cooperative spectrum sensing can effectively improve the accuracy of spectrum sensing, but there is a non-linear relationship between the number of nodes and sensing accuracy. Nodes with low reliability participate in cooperative sensing, which is not conducive to the improvement of sensing accuracy, and reduces the energy efficiency of spectrum sensing, which poses challenges to the normal operation of cognitive wireless networks. In order to improve energy efficienc… Show more

“…The spectrum sensing was found to be accurate and secured by combatting SSDF attacks. In [2], [3] and [4], the initial trust value of the sensing node is obtained using an evaluation algorithm. The management center of blockchain stores the updated trust value and encrypts a node, node information and its trust value.…”

“…Tangsen et al used a node evaluation and scheduling algorithm to evaluate the reliability of sensing nodes and used a blockchain-based secure spectrum sensing algorithm to obtain the node's trust value. Te new algorithm improved detection probability by 5% while using less energy [17]. Cao and Pan optimized the cooperative spectrum sensing strategy based on particle swarm-optimized cognitive wireless sensor networks.…”

“…A secure spectrum sensing technique based on blockchain is presented in [ 109 ] to increase the energy efficiency and sensing accuracy of cognitive wireless networks at the same time. The mechanism can adapt to changes in the environment and adjust the number of nodes engaging in cooperative sensing in real-time, as well as evaluate the dependability of sensing nodes in real-time and calculate the node’s trust value using an evaluation algorithm.…”
