The paper investigates the relationship between analytical capabilities in the plan, source, make and deliver area of the supply chain and its performance using information system support and business process orientation as moderators. Structural equation modeling employs a sample of 310 companies from different industries from the USA, Europe, Canada, Brazil and China. The findings suggest the existence of a statistically significant relationship between analytical capabilities and performance. The moderation effect of information systems support is considerably stronger than the effect of business process orientation. The results provide a better understanding of the areas where the impact of business analytics may be the strongest.

Abstract:The 2008 banking crisis demonstrated that there is a lack of effective methods for modeling and analyzing "exceptional but plausible" risk scenarios in bank stress testing. Existing stress testing practices mainly focus on modeling probability-based risk factors and events in banking systems using historical data. Rare (low probability) risk events that can cause financial crises in banking systems, such as the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, are largely ignored due to the lack of appropriate modeling and analysis methods. To address this problem, we propose an approach called Banking Event-driven Scenario-oriented Stress Testing (or simply, BESST) which has two main components: 1) an ontologybased event-driven scenario model (OESM), and 2) two analysis methods based on OESM for scenario recommendation and plausibility checking. The proposed BESST approach provides bank stress testing stakeholders an effective method for modeling and analyzing financial crisis scenarios that are rare but often have significant consequences.

Abstract. In the contemporary global business markets environment, when the business markets are getting more and more commercial, there are growing demand for effective management of material flows. The effectivity and effectiveness of planning, management and control the material flows across an industrial company and its distribution networks, represents one of the main pillar regarding the high level of competitive advantage within the frame of supply chains. Thus, the company information management system design should have also included a module of integrated logistics management system to ensure required level of material flow management effectivity and effectiveness. The article deals with brief description of the issues on company management, company information management systems and logistics management. Further it's stated the methodology to created integrated logistics management system, which is containing the methodics to design logistics management sub-systems of purchasing, manufacturing, distribution and reverse material flows. The essential methodics of the stated methodology is the methodics to create independent demand forecasting sub-system.
