A call to action for an inclusive model of shared decision‐making in healthcare

Abstract: Faced with complex medical problems, users and their families need to make a range of decisions about their healthcare, treatment, and location of that treatment. This requires that they understand their illness, prognosis, and the advantages and disadvantages of treatment options.
