Abstract: Key Clinical MessageCongestive heart failure caused by secondary hypocortisolism is rare but clinically significant, because its appropriate treatment is effective. Severe hyponatremia with indefinite complaint resembling depression or persisting fever despite antibiotics may be important for establishing this diagnosis.
