Abstract:Bartter Syndrome is a disease (sporadic or familial) characterized by hypochloremia, hypokalemia, hyponatremia, metabolic alkalosis, hyperaldosteronism, hyperreninemia and normal blood pressure. Pseudo-Bartter syndrome is characterized by hypochloremia associated with metabolic alkalosis and hypokalemia without any pathology in the tubular transport mechanism.
