A case of intraamniotic hemorrhage with ruptured marginal cord insertion at 36 weeks of gestation

Abstract: Spontaneous hemorrhage into the amniotic cavity is a very rare complication of pregnancy. In the case described here, acute intraamniotic hemorrhage occurred as the result of the rupture of the blood vessels in membranous marginal cord insertion in physiological week 36 of a multiparous pregnancy. Fast and accurate diagnosis afforded a satisfactory result.
