The first concerned a fatal case of multiple organ failure resulting from colchicine‐induced diarrhoea in a male of 65 (5); the second records the histories of eight cases of substantial (0.18–0.53 mg/kg) colchicine overdosage, seven of which were fatal (five suicidal; three accidental) (6).
