Abstract:Nowadays spontaneous coronary artery dissection is an increasingly recognized cause of an acute coronary syndrome. This article presents data on the epidemiology, predisposing factors, risk groups, factors contributing to the development of this disease. In this article we report the case of a 53-year-old woman with an acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction secondary to a spontaneous dissection of the right coronary artery.
