A case of severe subglottic stenosis masking as bronchial asthma

Abstract

Tracheal stenosis is an uncommon and dangerous complication after intubation and tracheostomy and its clinical presentation may be misinterpreted as bronchial asthma. A careful vigilant clinical history and examination is required for the diagnosis of such tracheal stenosis. Here, we describe a case of post intubation subglottic tracheal stenosis in a young male who presented with features mimicking bronchial asthma. IMC J Med Sci 2022; 16(2): 005.
