“…Hemorrhage during uterine prolapse can occur from rupture of a uterine artery or directly through the endometrium. The proportion of mares that survived to hospital discharge in the present study (17/23 [74%]) was comparable with findings published previously for case reports (9/14 [64%]) [2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12] and peer-reviewed papers (8/9 [89%]).
