Giant cell myocarditis (GCM) is a rare, probably underdiagnosed and potentially fatal disease in young and middle-aged patients. Disease progression is often rapid, and life-threatening arrhythmias and cardiogenic shock due to progressive left ventricular failure are among the most feared complications.
