Abstract:Rickettsial diseases are a group of infections caused by the obligate intracellular bacteria Rickettsia. Rickettsial infections are common in southern Europe. The disease is usually characterized by the classical triad of fever, eschar and rash. Complications including neurological involvement are rarely described.
