A case study of electronic device modeling and performance analysis with non ideal supply conditions using ATP simulator

Abstract: This paper is aimed at proposing a computational model to represent projector devices and to perform studies involving non-ideal voltage supply conditions. In order to validate the model, experimental and computational analyses are carried out to highlight the equipment behavior and the model accuracy under normal and abnormal conditions. The equipment is represented throughout a switched source with a boost converter. Although the results are related to this specific product it should be emphasized the approa… Show more

“…After exhaustive studies, the final option was for simple arrangements, but good enough to represent such equipments under ideal and non-ideal operational conditions. In [7]- [9] it is possible to find the performances and validation process of some of these devices (projector, DVD player, fax machine, wireless telephone, stereo system, etc).…”

“…This approach aims at including the effect of the stabilizing circuits always presented in such type of equipment. The focused equipment is just a sample of many others that have been investigated, modeled and validated [8,9,10]. Once the equivalent circuit has been established, it is necessary to implement it in the selected computational platform, namely, the ATP simulator.…”
