The primary focus of the research is to investigate educational challenges in the process of resocializing individuals with criminal tendencies. The research aims to analyze educational issues in the resocialization process of offender to facilitate a more effective resocialization of criminally inclined individuals into society. The research tasks encompass various key objectives, including the analysis of offender characteristics, exploration of the formation process of offender personalities, formulation of proposals to mitigate the negative impact of macro-environmental factors, and development of resocialization recommendations. The novelty of the research is linked to changes in cultural values and social norms influencing the behavior, motivation, and transformation of social values among criminally inclined individuals. The outcomes of the research will contribute to the development of more effective strategies for crime prevention and the resocialization of offender personalities within society. The chosen research methods will provide a comprehensive insight into the formation of offender personalities and the factors influencing them. The monographic method will be utilized to describe existing research findings and provide conceptual explanations regarding offender personality and its formation mechanisms. The comparative method will be applied to assess issues related to the prevention of criminal activities among criminally inclined individuals in Latvia and other countries.

The purpose of the research is to study the influence of the mediation service on the correction of SCTEI trainees, highlight their main differences with the psychological and pedagogical service, and conduct a comparative analysis of similar services abroad. Such fundamental methods of scientific knowledge as general methods (analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, analogy), as well as special methods (comparative legal and formal legal), provided the methodological basis for this research. The work used the published data from the Pathways to Desistance studies; in relation to 1,354 juvenile offenders. The data from a survey of 100 minors held in SCTEI of the Siberian Federal District were used. The research results concluded that the creation at SCTEI of mediation services engaged in constructive conflict resolution and ensuring effective achievement of mutual understanding between the parties to the conflict determine the humanity of education, the priority of human life and health, the rights and freedoms of an individual. It was also found by the authors that it had had a positive effect on the creation of a culture of safe and trusting communication between students, their parents and the teaching staff of the institution, on the prevention of violent, aggressive approaches in interpersonal interaction, the prevention of manifestations of antisocial behaviour, professional and emotional burnout of employees. In addition, it was found that with the functioning of the mediation service, students at SCTEI would also get an idea of how to become a part of society. The novelty of the research is due to the author’s approach to the problem under study as well as the fact that during the research it was found that it is mediation that makes it possible to create a dual system model of self-control for students at SCTEI.

The Social networks play a very important role in the well-being of children. This is because; the welfare network serves as a charitable service provider to meet their needs. Child welfare networks include family members, children, schools, peers, neighbors, community members and institutions offering health, education, health, food and drink services, love, safety, protection and a healthy environment. This article describes the network mapping of child welfare services in the custody of public institutions. A study was conducted to explore the practice of implementing the welfare services network of children at STB Marang, Terengganu Malaysia using the qualitative design of the Grounded Theory to obtain the raw data. A set of interview protocols have been developed as a guide to conducting face-to-face and deep interviews with 30 respondents of 24 different agencies. The main findings of the study found that although public custody in Malaysia practiced a mixed economy of care approach, service network operations were in conflict with the mixed economy of care approach adopted. As a follow-up to the findings of this study, the Social Network Development Model was developed. This model can be a productive tool in developing an integrated welfare network for children in Malaysia.
