“…The energy input or consumption to the engine in case of coated engine is less compared to uncoated engine which results in increase in efficiency at all loads. Thermal barrier coating offered higher efficiency by 5e9% with diesel operation compared to the standard engine [3] and [16]. Various studies [8e11] on biodiesel such as canola, cotton, corn and sunflower methyl ester in LHR engine proved an improvement in thermal efficiency between 3.5 and 8% and while in this study it is 6.8% for RME-20, 4.9% for PME-20 and 3.4% for pure diesel.…”
