A complete list of 132 spider species collected by D.E. Kharitonov's expedition to Zaisan Lake in July-August 1936 is provided, with 31 species being recorded from East Kazakhstan Area (EKA) for the first time. Distribution of all species new to EKA is discussed. Six species are described as new: viz., Alopecosa zaisanica sp.n. (male), Gnaphosa oirat sp.n. (female), Pardosa kalba sp.n. (female), P. сharitonovi sp.n. (female), P. kurchum sp.n. (female) and Robertus ovsyannikovi sp.n. (female). Two species from this collection -Drassodes cupa Tuneva, 2004 and Micaria seymuria Tuneva, 2004 -were described earlier. One species is synonymized: Drassodes charitonovi Tuneva, 2004 syn.n. = D. neglectus (Keyserling, 1887). Yet, data on additional 17 species from other collections, of which six species have been recorded from West Kazakhstan for the first time, are provided. An annotated list of 31 spider species of 12 families collected in Northeasten, Easten and Southern Ukraine is presented. Four speceis, Marinarozelotes manychensis (Ponomarev & Tsvetkov, 2006), Turkоzelotes kazachstanicus (Ponomarev et Tsvetkov, 2006), Zelotes atrocaeruleus (Simon, 1878), and Z. puritanus Chamberlin, 1922, are recorded for the first time from Ukraine. For Micaria coarctata (Lucas, 1846), this is the first record from the East European Plain. Nine species were recorded for the first time from Left-Bank Ukraine. To date, 1081 spider species are known from Ukraine and 757 species from Left-Bank Ukraine. Bsed on recent data, the northern boundaries of the geographic ranges of Drassyllus crimeaensis Kovblyuk, 2003 and Bassanioides caperatus (Simon, 1875) run along the northern coast of the Sea of Azov. For Marinarozelotes manychensis and Turkоzelotes kazachstanicus the northwestern coast of the Sea of Azov is the westernmost known limits of their distiribution. The range of Heriaeus horridus Tyschchenko, 1965 is delimited in the west by the right bank of the Dnieper estuary. Thirteen species are illlustrted.

The first inventory of the spider fauna of the Lut Desert, known as one of the hottest deserts in the world, is provided. Spiders collected during the Iranian Biological Expedition in November 2016 are reported. We identified 15 species belonging to 12 families, including the new species, Oecobius fahimii sp. n. (female, Oecobiidae), which is described and illustrated here. In addition, three species -Devade tenella (Tyshchenko 1965) (Dictynidae), Gnaphosa ukrainica Ovtsharenko, Platnick et Song 1992 and Haplodrassus caspius Ponomarev et Belosludtsev 2008 (both Gnaphosidae) -are reported from Iran for the first time.
