“…The following principles would be applied to obtain the best fitting structure: (a) eigenvalues greater than 1.00, (b) Cattell scree test to determine number of factors, (c) percentage of total variance explained, and (d) factor loading cutoff point at 0.40. 33 The reliability of the OAS was measured by internal consistency and test-retest reliability. The internal consistency of the questionnaire was measured by Cronbach's !…”

“…The cutoff point of 0.40 was used to examine the standardized factor loadings. 27,33 Three items with the factor loading lower than 0.40 were deleted. They were item 3 (''There are many things I would like to do if I did not have an ostomy,'' loading = 0.365), item 18 (''With my doctor I can discuss even the most embarrassing things concerning my ostomy,'' loading = 0.361), and item 28 (''Afterward, I can laugh at embarrassing situations that have occurred because of my ostomy,'' loading = 0.373).…”

“…Confirmatory factor analysis estimated the respective scale reliabilities of these four factors to be 0·860, 0·885, 0·686 and 0·864 (Gao et al . ). C‐COH‐QOL‐OQ has been used as an instrument in a previous study to compare and analyse quality of life and self‐efficacy between permanent and temporary enterostomy in China (Wang et al .…”

“…The Chinese version of the COH‐QOL‐OQ (C‐COH‐QOL‐OQ) (Gao et al . ) was developed after performing exploratory factor analysis in a pilot sample ( n = 274), followed by confirmatory factor analysis using a validation sample ( n = 370). During that study, one item was modified and 11 were deleted, giving the final version of 32 items.…”
