A Chirp-Rate-Tunable Microwave Photonic Pulse Compression System for Multi-Octave Linearly Chirped Microwave Waveform

Abstract: A chirp-rate-tunable microwave photonic pulse compression system for multioctave linearly chirped microwave waveform (LCMW) is proposed in this paper. The key components are a dual-parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator (DPMZM) and a dispersive loop (DL) structure based on a linear chirped fiber Bragg grating.
