Abstract:Coarctation of the aorta is a congenital malformation characterized by the presence of narrowing of the aorta, which can be localized in any part of it. In this publication, we present a clinical case of coarctation of the aorta before and after surgical correction in a newborn. The child was admitted to the cardiosurgical hospital at the age of 6 days. Congenital heart disease of a low category of complexity was diagnosed prenatally.
