Android is an application platform for mobile devices. It comprises of the operating system, software framework, and core programs. This platform uses permissions to hide precious information about the user from untrusted apps. However, to install an application, device feature uses permissions that are granted by the user. User has the ability to analyze permissions and abort the setup if the permissions are unfriendly or unrestrained. Android permission analysis schemes show a significant role to fight against these undesirable behaviors of untrusted android apps in the aspect of security and privacy. This survey attempts to deal with the android application permissions that are related security and privacy challenges. It includes various research articles published in computers and security, digital investigation, decision support systems, systems and software security, and information forensics journals in the last 10 years. The survey is based on the following considerations: research issues motivated by the scheme, the methodology used, ability of result analysis conducted, and android features considered for performance evaluation.

Internet of Things (IoT) has positioned itself at the front of rapid technological advancements in order to lessen human labor. The concept of making the world smart arises from the basis that “things” can be connected using the Internet. In this paper, the researchers will be describing an effective implementation of an intelligent monitoring system for manufacturing machine unit which is used in industry environment. The propose system design can be installed in manufacturing machines in order to solve management problems, maintenance, shortens the mean time to repair and predict mean time to fail. The researchers have designed a system based on internet of thing for monitoring using the fuzzy logic approach. It consists of monitoring the normal activities of the manufacturing machines in order to build a reference of its condition; then a real-time monitoring and analysis of gathered data from the sensors is accomplished. The status is carried out using a Fuzzy Logic based network. It will give the users the current activity of the manufacturing machine and will also provide information about health status. This system had been incorporated through internet using host, network, Ethernet module, embedded system gateway, sensors, microcontroller unit (MCU) and other components. This paper discusses how monitoring system can be implemented and how the use of cloud computing technology along with IoT devices can be used so that the data collected by these devices can be safely stored, monitored and analyzed.

<p>In this paper, a design process and a hardware implementation for a wireless real-time home automation system approach based on NI MyRIO microcontroller board and LabVIEW platform has been developed. The proposed automated system has two hardware elements: the first one is a personal computer as a system main server hosting the designed LabVIEW platform and the second element is a NI MyRIO microcontroller board for managing the operating between the appliances and the sensors. The appliances can be automatically monitored, controlled, and accessed in response to the signals from the related sensors or manually by the system end-user through smart phone based on Wi-Fi and cloud computing technology. To approve the reliability of the proposed automated system, a hardware realization for three appliances: temperature management, light energy saving, and biometric security system of face recognition with fingerprint check has been introduced. The proposed system has a simple structure, economically cost effective and flexible scaling up for a proper automated home future.</p>
