A Cluster Model for Tetrahedrally Coordinated Chalcogenide Phases

Abstract: A model is described, which allows to calculate the energy dependent cluster probabilities for quasiternary systems of type AX/BX/CX, based on a concept of reactions between tetrahedral clusters. It is shown. that for the quasibinary section A3X3/B2CX3 with C standing for structural vacancies, the cluster model allows predictions concerning the occurence of ordered compounds.
