A color histogram measure and its application to image segmentation

Abstract: This paper proposes a histogram distance measure for region merging (HDMRM) to compute the weight matrix of the graph. Further, an improved image segmentation method by combining MS and Ncut is developed based on the HDMRM. Simulation results validate the proposed HDMRM.
