A Combined Antijamming and Antispoofing Algorithm for GPS Arrays

Abstract: The Global Positioning System (GPS), with its accurate positioning and timing information, has become a commonly used navigation instrument for many applications. However, it is susceptible to intentional interference such as jamming and spoofing. The conventional antijamming GPS receiver fails to work in a combined jamming and spoofing attack scenario. To solve the problem, a combined antijamming and antispoofing algorithm for a GPS receiver based on an antenna array is proposed. In this method, the jamming i… Show more

“…We examined the case of a single-antenna receiver. Multiple antennas may still be employed, for example, to enhance the performance or security of the scheme by, e.g., checking the angle of arrival of a GNSS signal [14,15]. A representation of the considered scenario is depicted in Figure 1.…”

“…Then, a sequential de-spoofing method is developed to remove fake signals from raw digital samples. In [83], a hybrid algorithm for dealing with interference and spoofing based on antenna array is presented. In this algorithm, the jamming is removed by subspace projection, and then a compact sensing framework is used to extract the navigation signal and identify the spoofing signal.…”

“…Authors in [53] proposed a GNSS jamming and spoofing suppression algorithm based on multiple antennas but it suffered from high calculation costs. Authors in [39] proposed a computationally non intensive method. It projects the received signals in the orthogonal subspace of the jamming followed by compressed sensing to detect any interference.…”
