A compact dual-polarized co-radiator MIMO antenna for UWB applications

Abstract: In this research study, a compact dual-polarized co-radiator ultra-wideband (UWB) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with improved impedance bandwidth and isolation is proposed for wireless applications. The designed co-radiator has an overall area of 0.3λo × 0.3λo mm2 (where, λo is free space wavelength corresponding to the lower cut-off frequency, i.e., 3.1 GHz). The proposed resonator comprises of a hybrid geometry which is created with the combinations of a circular-shaped patch, a square, and t… Show more

“…Moreover, the size of the present work is also smaller than [5-7, 9, 10, 19], and the gain is better than [6,30,31]. Compared to [35][36][37], it has better performance in almost all aspects. Furthermore, in contrast to [5,19,20], the suggested antenna's decoupled construction is unique.…”

“…To investigate the environmental influence on the radiation properties of the radiator and to compute the comparative average power among the signals provided by each radiator MEG is utilized [40]. The diversity fulfillment and channel attributes of the radiator will be high if the ratio of MEG (|MEG 1 /MEG 2 |) of the pair of radiating elements is below ±3 dB [41].…”
